My name is Lindsay Knoll, I’m a Communications major at the University of Memphis and I would like to apply for your summer internship program. As I understand from your advertisement posted at the student support center, this is a paid internship with academic credits. While this may sound like hyperbole, I felt drawn to the intern position at Fly Media because it combines my love for fashion and my passion for graphic design. I believe I have the personal qualities that would make me the ideal intern for the summer of 2019.

These are my key qualities:

• Turns initiatives into results
• A natural multi-tasker
• Great organizational and event planning skills
• Good communication skills and an eager people person
• Can do layouts, graphic design banners and print collaterals.

As my CV entails, I am a self-starter who has spent a great number of hours learning computer and marketing skills online through sites like Udemy and Futurelearn. I have devoted 3-4 hours of my day after classes to learn drawing applications and graphic design softwares such as SketchUp, Toon3D, Photoshop and InDesign. Because of these new found skills, I was able to create promotional banners and websites for our community events such as the BraveRun marathon, Autism Week and March for Moms. I have given my time and skills for people and causes in my community, I strongly believe in volunteerism and reaching out to people who need help. Working in a challenging and fast-paced environment such as Fly Media is in my future plans. After I graduate, I hope to get into the field of Public Relations and I feel a head start at Fly Media is a great way to learn the ropes of the media industry.
