Dear Mr. Glasgow,

I am Judy G. Stafford, currently a retail associate at the Redtown branch of the Thriftway Food Mart. I saw the advertised opening for a sales associate at Goldlane Bookstore in the Sunday Edition of the Brickwoods Chronicle and I would like to forward my resume to you to be considered for the job.

I’ve been working for Thriftway for the past two years and I’ve experienced working on the many tasks required to keep the store running smoothly. Aside from my primary duty to man the floors to assist customers, my experiences include keeping an inventory on stocks and manning the tills as a cashier when needed. As a retail person, I take delight in helping customers make their shopping more pleasant and I’m proud of the fact that I was recognized for my exemplary customer service by the company for five out of the 25 months that I’ve been working for Thriftway.

Goldlane Bookstore has been a pillar of our town for the last 30 years and I would like to be a part of it and move my career forward should you accept me as part of your team. Please find enclosed my resume and recommendation letters from two of my former supervisors at Thriftway who have vouched for my professionalism and work ethics.

I would be happy to be invited for an interview for the sales associate position. You can reach me through my mobile (567) 555-1783 or my email (JStafford@email.org) should you wish to meet me at your convenience.

Sincerely,
