(Today’s Date)

Dear Human Resources Officer,

I am Catherine Lee Petersen, a graduate of Marion Southgate University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. I am the resident Accountant for Brown West Financial for three years now, prior to that I was the Payroll Assistant at Juniper Advisory Services, a financial consulting firm in the San Diego district.

My career is built around working with numbers mainly in payroll processing, compensation and employee benefits. I am tasked to audit employee data (starting dates and exits), invoice for payments and expense refunds. Mainly, I am tasked to ensure accuracy in all flow of transactions.

In my present role, I am able to prioritize multiple tasks across master data and shared files while under a strict timeframe.  I am a team player, but I can also work independently when needed. More importantly, I exercise due diligence and discretion when it comes to the company’s financial data.

Attached here is my current resume for your review. I hope that we can meet so that I can discuss at length my accounting skills and what I can bring to the table at MSD Data Financial services; I believe they are an ideal company to work for and that I am a good candiate for their recent opening. Should you require any additional information about my accounting skills, I can be contacted at this phone number 555-4560 and at this e-mail address: accountingstaff@bestmail.com

Thank you in advance for your consideration.

Yours truly,

Catherine Lee Petersen
