(Today’s Date)

Dear Human Resources Manager,

I read that you have an opening for a Hotel Frontline Receptionist and I am very interested to apply. I am Farah Stevens; I have a Certificate of Completion (CCL) in Entrepreneurial Studies from Belmont Community Colleges. My background is in retail – where I found my passion in assisting and serving customers. For two years, I was a retail store assistant for the furniture store Woodrow’s on Bell Street and prior to that, I was a receptionist at a dental clinic called ToothFairy Works where I handled all the appointments and inquiries.

I would love to work at your hotel, as I have great multi-tasking and organizational skills, and I have strong industry knowledge as well about the hospitality industry, this is due to my previous summer jobs as a frontdesk assistant at Saint Paul’s Hotel & Casino.

As a receptionist, I can be responsible for assisting your guests and clients, as my previous work experience in customer-service has enabled me to deal with walk-in clients effectively. I am able to facilitate bookings, reservations, inquiries and schedule appointments on time. I have solid computer typing skills (Excel and Word), and I can also quickly learn any appointment-setter and booking softwares that you have in your customized reservation system.

The accompanying CV will give you an idea of my skill sets and how I am very qualified for this position. I can also provide you with references from past employers, my contract completions and other important documentation. I am available for an interview any time this week. Please call me at 555-8293 or at my email receptionistwork@email.org

With my friendly disposition and can-do attitude, any employer can rely on me. On shift, I always have a big smile ready to welcome any hotel guest.

Hope to hear from you soon.

Sincerely,

Farah Stevens
